I am Dr. Yasemin Aydınlı. I was born on December 25, 1987, in Gaziantep, during my father’s mandatory military assignment, as the daughter of an officer. Growing up in a disciplined family environment shaped my determination, sense of responsibility, and understanding of professional ethics. After completing my primary education, I was admitted to one of Turkey’s most prestigious and long-established schools, Ankara Science High School. This selective school admits students nationwide who demonstrate exceptional achievements in science and mathematics. Its research-oriented culture and disciplined learning environment provided me with a solid scientific foundation. I graduated high school with a 5.0 GPA, laying a strong groundwork for my medical education. During these years, I developed a desire to become a physician in a field that combines both functional and aesthetic benefits for patients, merging scientific curiosity with manual skill, and I set my goal on plastic surgery. In the university entrance exam, I ranked 21st in Turkey and was admitted to Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (English Program), which offers international-standard education and clinical experience. Thanks to Hacettepe’s intensive and high-quality hands-on training, my fundamental medical knowledge and clinical skills developed comprehensively. I have always believed that one of the most important factors shaping a doctor’s professional stance is the quality of their basic medical education and the ethical values of their school; in this regard, Hacettepe provided me with an exceptionally strong foundation. I graduated as an honor student. After graduation, I ranked 62nd in the Medical Specialization Exam (TUS) and began my residency in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. Ankara University’s aesthetics-focused residency program allowed me to deepen my knowledge and skills in aesthetic surgery. During my residency, I also trained in microsurgery at the Columbia University Microsurgery Research and Training Laboratory in New York, enhancing my expertise internationally in this field. I completed my mandatory service at Mehmet Akif İnan Training and Research Hospital and Şanlıurfa Training and Research Hospital. During this period, I provided extensive service to meet the region’s healthcare needs and emergency surgical cases. I gained valuable experience in both surgical and crisis management by treating war-related injuries and managing complex traumas in extraordinary conditions near the border during the Operation Peace Spring. To date, I have presented numerous national and international papers. I also have publications in peer-reviewed journals and a book chapter on lipedema surgery. Today, I continue to pursue the passion for plastic surgery that began in my high school years, combining the scientific discipline of Ankara Science High School, the intensive hands-on education of Hacettepe University English Medicine Program, and the aesthetics-focused residency training at Ankara University. I provide ethical, scientific, safe, and personalized solutions. By closely following national and international developments, I integrate the latest advances into my practice, aiming to deliver treatments that are both functionally and aesthetically satisfying while ensuring the highest standards of safety for my patients.
