Fat Transfer Fat Injection

A natural and harmonious filler method in which the patient's own fat tissue is purified and transferred to areas with volume loss.

What Is Fat Injection?

Fat injection is the process of purifying, by special techniques, fat tissue taken from the patient's own body and injecting it into areas such as the face, hands, breast or buttocks. Because the person's own tissue is used, no allergic reaction or tissue rejection is expected; the aim is natural fullness and an improvement in skin quality. As with every surgical procedure, the possible risks are discussed in detail at the examination.

In which cases is it preferred?

  • Restoring volume loss (sunken cheeks, cheekbones, under-eyes)
  • Breast or buttock augmentation and shaping
  • Enhancing skin quality (radiance and elasticity)
  • Post-trauma/surgery contour correction

The surgical process

  1. Planning: the area from which fat will be taken (abdomen, waist, thigh) and the injection area are decided.
  2. Surgery: the fat is harvested by liposuction, purified by filtration/centrifugation and injected in multiple layers.
  3. Recovery: swelling/bruising may last a few days; the return is quick in small areas, and 5–7 days for a BBL.

The fat that takes is permanent; a portion is naturally absorbed. Quitting smoking and maintaining a stable weight increase the retention rate.

Natural fullness with your own tissue
