Arm Lift Brachioplasty

A surgery that removes excess skin and fat from the upper arm area, giving the arms a firmer and more youthful appearance.

What Is an Arm Lift?

An arm lift is an aesthetic surgical operation known in medicine as brachioplasty. By removing excess skin and fat tissue in the upper arm region, it gives the arms a firmer appearance. It is ideal for sagging caused by significant weight loss, ageing or genetic predisposition.

In which cases is it preferred?

  • A younger, firmer arm contour
  • Being able to wear sleeveless clothing comfortably
  • Reducing irritation caused by skin friction
  • Improving body image and self-confidence

The surgical process

  1. Consultation: the state of the arms is assessed and the appropriate method is decided.
  2. Surgery: under general anaesthesia, excess skin and fat are removed through an incision running from the armpit to the elbow.
  3. Recovery: mild pain, swelling and bruising are possible; a special compression garment is recommended and normal activity is resumed within a few weeks.

The incision remains on the inner surface of the arm and fades over time; for limited sagging, more concealed incisions may be preferred.
