Fat Removal Liposuction

A contouring surgery that defines the body's lines by removing localized fat deposits that persist despite diet and exercise.

What Is Liposuction?

Liposuction is a contouring operation that removes localised fat deposits which persist despite diet and exercise. It is not a weight-loss method but a surgical procedure aimed at making the body more aesthetic and proportional. It can be applied to many areas such as the abdomen, waist, hips, legs and arms.

In which cases is it preferred?

  • Elimination of localized fat
  • Definition of body contours
  • Performed in combination with other aesthetic surgeries
  • Improving comfort in daily life

The surgical process

  1. Examination: which areas fat will be taken from and the target contour are planned.
  2. Surgery: the fat is aspirated by a closed technique, usually under general anaesthesia.
  3. Recovery: a compression garment is worn for 4–8 weeks; return to social life takes 1–2 weeks.
  4. Result: the final results become clear at 3–6 months as the swelling resolves.

The removed fat cells do not return; however, if weight is gained, the remaining cells may enlarge and fat may accumulate in untreated areas. Maintaining a stable weight is important to preserve the result.

Several areas can be combined; the limit is determined by the safe total volume and the patient's overall health.

No. Liposuction is not weight loss or obesity treatment; it is a contouring procedure that shapes the body by removing localized stubborn fat that does not melt away despite diet and exercise.

Several areas can be combined; the limit is set according to the safe total volume and the person's general health. If very large areas are needed, the procedure can be split into sessions.

The cannulas enter through very small incisions; the scars are usually a few millimetres, placed in hidden areas, and become indistinct over time.

Liposuction is not a cellulite treatment; on its own it does not even change the appearance of cellulite. Different methods are considered for cellulite.

Return to desk work is usually possible within 1–2 weeks; for intense sport the period recommended by your surgeon (usually 4–6 weeks) should be observed.
